Miguel J. Martínez, bass player for the band. Son of Fares and Debbie Martínez, born 6/19/81, I was raised in Mora, NM. I graduated from Mora High School in 1999 and from New Mexico Highlands University with a B.B.A. in Finance in 2005. Music has always been a major part in my life. Being part of the Martínez family there was always music around me. When I was young we would get together at my abuela’s and all my tíos and my dad would grab their guitars and have a jam session. I remember sitting there just watching them play until one day I got home from school picked up my dad’s guitar and began playing. Since I had seen them play so much I pretty much new the basics. With further instruction from my brother, my dad and my tío Donald I became better. I started playing bass guitar when I was about 12 years old.  My greatest inspiration is the late Joaquin Martínez, who also played the bass guitar. I hope to continue and enhance my musical knowledge as it is a never ending lesson and you can never be too good to not want to learn more.
